"Model" by Alisa Miller
Modelling is a funny world because just when you appear to have everything that's when you realise that really the pressure, temptation and difficult choices have only just began. Model took a year to write and it is, as you probably guess, a book which I drew on my personal experiences heavily for.
It was Milla Jovovich who best summarized what it's like to model when she said "It's killing me,". Well, modelling did not quite kill me and I had a huge amount of fun doing it but, in retrospect, when writing this book it is a world which I do not greatly miss right now (and you'll need to really read the book to understand why).
In writing I hope I have managed to both inform and entertain. The world of modelling is closed to outsiders who really only ever get to see the results. Hopefully here, now, you have a small window into it and some fresh insights of what it is really like.
