He is in love with a younger woman
Most emails I get are from women who are experiencing some issue in their relationship with a partner. This one this week stood out because it is from a man who is facing a personal issue. We shall call him Mike. He is a successful professional who runs his own motivational speaking business. He is 56 and has been married twice before and is twice divorced.

“In my line of work I come in contact with a lot of very many different people,” says Mike, “I often do motivational talks to legal firms and sales firms and the people I meet are from a vary wide background.” This allows Mike to lead a bachelor lifestyle where the opportunities to meet women are many. “About six months ago I met Stacy at a legal firm where she works as a legal secretary. After the talk there was a greet-and-meet party where many of the firm’s staff came up to meet me and ask me questions and Stacy and I started talking. I was captivated by her maturity and good looks and she seemed to adore my sense of humour. When I suggested going out for drinks later she readily agreed.”

Needless to say Mike and Stacy hit it off and spent that night together at his apartment. “The last six months have been pure bliss,” says Mike about their relationship, “we agree on most things, have a really good time when we are together and the sex has been the best of my life.” There is however an issue Mike is worried about. “I really want things to work out between me and Stacy and I am about to ask her to move in with me. The thing is she just turned twenty. I find myself thinking about the age gap with some worry. My daughter from my first marriage is twenty-one so Stacy is actually a year younger. This gives me pause for thought. What if, in five years’ time Stacy begins to feel the need for someone younger? I can understand that but for me it will be quite difficult and I would much rather I was not in that situation back then.”

Mike also does not know how it will work once Stacy starts to meet his family. “If things become more serious I will have to introduce her to my brothers who are both older and happily married and my mum who is still alive. In that setting she will definitely feel left out, I mean they are not even my generation let alone hers. I think I have fallen for her but do not want to end up with egg on my face. Is my situation really that unique or is there someone else out there with similar experience?”

I am 55 and have dated 20 year olds before. To be honest I don't think it will ever work out. None of mine have. Most of the time when a very young woman dates an older man it is all about money, in one form or another. Their is no common ground to build a relationship,,,,,,but sex.

This could be different, but beware.
